Chickens, the number three and story retelling...

What a non-stop, fun filled and busy week we have had in R2!
We began the week with some feathery additions to our reception family. The children have loved checking our hens are happy by giving them food and water, as well as sticks amd leaves to scratch around in. 

In maths we have been learning all about the number three; how to recognise it, make it, form it and how a triangle has three sides. To show our understanding of the number three the children made art work all about the number three and created their own number 3 numberblock. 

In English after learning and reading the story of ‘Joey and the Deep, Dark hole’ the children planned their own versions of the story and verbally retold them. What an amazing week Reception - well done!
