Butterflies in R2

Class: R2 Year: 2023 - 2024

The children in R2 have loved keeping watch over the caterpillars as they grew bigger and then formed their chysalides. They have been waiting excitedly for the butterflies to emerge from the chrysalides, which happened earlier this week. We then released the butterflies in our outdoor area today and helped them to find safe spaces to then fly away. It has been a super half term learning all about what we find down in the garden and the butterflies have really helped to make learning about lifecycles real and memorable for the children.
