Bean Planting

As part of our topic of Fairy Tales we have been reading different versions of the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
The children have enjoyed learning the story. We have also been learning about what plants need to grow and the life cycle of a bean plant. The children have each planted their own bean seed and are looking after them whilst waiting to see if any huge beanstalks grow!

After planting bean seeds we also compared them to different seeds we find such as cucumber seeds, sunflower seeds and acorns. We planted some apple and cucumber seeds in different places so we can compare how they grow!
