Bar modelling

Lesson: Maths

This week Year 1 have been exploring bar models. 

We started by using alien pictures to represent the numbers and then moved onto cubes. Miss Cooke was feeling a bit mean and hid the cubes so the children had to create different ways to represent the numbers! 

All of 1C were fantastic and used resources in the classroom to show these numbers. Then we progressed to drawing crosses when using the bar model.
