Attributes and sets of objects

Lesson: EYFS

In Maths this week we have been inspired by the book 'The Button Box' by Margarette S.Reid to look at arrangements of objects such as buttons. We have investigated the similarities and differences and their attributes. In pairs we sorted buttons into different groups and discussed what we had done. We also decided which one didn't belong from a group of four and used our reasoning skills to explain why. The children also explored our button and small figure collection during child initiated time and found ways to sort them in different ways.
