Art inspired by Helen Frankenthaler

Year 2 have been enjoying their art learning this half term. We have been exploring the work of artists from around the world. This week we learnt about the work of Helen Frankenthaler, an American painter. Helen used a technique called the soak stain technique which we practised today. We used watercolour paints to create a piece inspired by her work. We were so proud of our learning that we headed over to Art Bay to show Mrs Chapman herself - who was also very impressed. Well done 2A!
