And the trophy for the most active class goes to....

Lesson: Physical education

We've had a brilliant start to 2023! At the start of this week, we challenged ourselves to keep as active as possible, to try and win the 'Most Active Class' trophy during Friday's assembly. We enjoyed lots of quick bursts of activity and fitness throughout the week, from Joe Wicks to 5-a-day fitness. It's been so much fun and we've felt great! Short bursts of exercise has also helped us focus better during independent learning. We were thrilled to find out that we had won! We were the most active class!

We've worked really hard this week, practising the column method, adding multiples of 10 and exploring our new story 'The Bog Baby' written by Jeanne Willis. In Geography, we learnt about where different food comes from and the food stories behind our favourite meals and snacks. During our Steps to Read sessions, we've looked at extracts from a great story - The Wolf's Story. It's the story of Little Red Riding Hood, but told from the Wolf's perspective. In P.E, we started our Yoga unit and athletics and in PSHE we talking about the importance of keeping clean. All this and much more.

A great start to 2023! Well done 2W!

Take a look at some action shots from our active week!
