A visit from the Mighty Thor

Last week in WOW writing the children were treated to a visit from the Mighty Thor himself. The children were really excited to be visited by a real Norse god, even if they were a little puzzled by the fact he looked suspiciously like Mr Myers......

Before Thor came the children had five minutes to travel around the classroom swopping ideas for questions to ask Thor. Some of these were brilliant, whilst others were more to do with why Thor didn't have his hammer and instead had a Lacey Green staff badge. 

However by the time got down to doing our writing (that week's task was to write a character description of the mighty Thor) the children's creative juices were flowing and soon sentences were stuffed to rafters with facts about Thor intermingled with adjectives and connectives to boot!

My personal favourite fact - Thor came into our class. He wasn't like in the films. He had a big tummy.
