A busy week in R2
This week we have been particularly busy and started off with learning all about Lunar New Year, China and how people celebrate Lunar New Year. We enjoyed learning the story of 'The Great Race' and how the animals were chosen to represent each year. We also learnt that this year is the Year of the Tiger and also found out which animal year we were born in.
In maths we learnt all about the number 7 and how we can show this on a tens frame, a part part whole model and on whiteboards.
The beans have also had some extra attention as they are starting to shoot up now. We were shocked to see that the bean we planted and left in the cuboard with no light has also grown very tall, however this is not as green and healthy as the ones next to the window . We have decided to keep a close eye on this and keep finding out more about why plants need soil, water and light.
Squeezed in between all this we also became authors and strated to create our books all about Little Red Riding Hood and the 'Big Bad Wolf'.
Well done on a super busy and productive week R2!
