This half-term, Year 2 are learning about the artist, Jane Roxburgh. She is an artist who focuses on still-life drawings and botanical watercolours. The children have practised their sketching skills focusing on lines and value (light and darkness) and have done some exploratory painting using water colours. They have used their knowledge of the colour wheel to mix the colours that they needed and have experimented with more and less water to create different shades.
