Wider Opportunities
Lesson: Music
This year classes 5M and 5JM will be learning a selection of brass instruments as part of wider opportunities music lessons. Over the past few weeks we have been looking at the different musical instruments we will be playing and have been choosing which of the instruments they wanted to play over the next year. The choices of instruments were:
- trumpets and cornets
- baritones
- euphoniums
- trombones
The children have made their choices and they will soon be going home with their shiny, new instruments before half term.
As well as looking at these different instruments and learning how they fit into the brass band, we have been playing a variety of musical activities, been listening to brass music and learning about some of the top brass bands in our region.
The children have asked for some videos of brass bands to watch so I have also embedded some below.
