Lesson: Literacy

Year 4 have been learning how to use dictionaries and thesauruses.  At the end of the week we thought about the impact of certain words and set about expanding our vocabularies.  After acting out different verbs that could replace the common ones we use everyday, the class was divided into groups and were given a large amount of words to categorise.  Each group had to find different words for: went, nice, glad, big, small, throw, shout, see and angry.  The class definitely found some words more difficult than others.  See how we got on.
