RE Week in Year 2!

Lesson: Religious education

It's R.E week this week and we are learning more about Judaism in Year 2.  First, we recapped some key learning from when we last learnt about Judaism in Year 1. Then we discussed our favourite special meals and designed a celebratory dinner. We then looked at the Jewish festival of Passover and we learnt more about how Moses saved the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.  We discovered that Jewish people celebrate Passover every Spring. On the evening before Passover begins, Jewish people have a special service called ‘sedar’. This takes place over a meal with close family and friends. We learnt all about the sedar plate and worked as team to draw and label it.
