Mosque trip 1G

Lesson: Religious education

We had a really interesting trip out at the Mosque learning about lots of different aspects of Islam. The morning started with saying hello to each other and then we split off into 3 groups. Some of us learnt how to write the Arabic alphabet and we were surprised to find they write the opposite way to us! Some of us went off and learnt how to wash ourselves before prayer - we even had a go in the special wash area. Some of us got dressed up in traditional dress and had a go at writing our names in Arabic. The children were very well behaved and had a thoroughly enjoyable morning.
