DT Week - Purses

Class: 2R Year: 2024 - 2025

Our DT project was based on the designer Louis Vuitton and the children were tasked with making a purse/pencil case. We learnt how to sew a running stitch and thread a needle independently! The children designed their purses, making sure they were thinking about what needed sewing before we stitched the edges together. They then selected their materials, sewed on any pockets or embellishments and then sewed it together. They added velcro and any decorations using glue and tested out their purses. Some children needed to reflect and make changes - all important DT skills!
