Lesson: Music

The children in year five have really made some great progress since Christmas. They have played a range of different pieces including  tangos, Let Me Entertain You by Robbie Williams, We Will Rock You by Queen. Today the children looked at Cuban salsa music practicing their ability to keep in time by not racing working on their pulse keeping. After this they worked on a piece of jazz music, first learning the bass line before some of the children were brave enough to improvise over the top like great brass jazz musicians like Dizzy Gillespie or Louis Armstrong.
