Fruit Tasting

Lesson: Science

In science today we were learning that fruit and vegetables keep growing during the summer. We went outside to look our school allotment and found spring onions and beans growing. We looked at how the beds are prepared and how the seeds are planted in rows with labels to help us know what we are growing.

Then we had fun tasting a variety of fruits and vegetables that grow in the UK. We tasted peas, broccoli, carrots, plums, raspberries and strawberries.

We had loads of fun and some of us even found that we liked foods we had avoided before!
